The UN Tourism 'Best Tourism Villages' initiative aims to recognize each year those 'villages that are examples of rural tourism destinations with recognized cultural and natural assets,' highlighting their way of preserving and promoting their community-based values, products and lifestyles in all their aspects: economic, social and environmental.
